Why Not Ohio? New Jersey Gets Solar Panel Plant

The solar power market is contributing both clean energy and jobs to the state economy in New Jersey. An Italian solar panel manufacturer, MX Solar USA, will employ nearly 200 people at its newly-opened factory in Franklin County.

Warren Clark, the human resources manager for the company, affirmed that "a lot of people are excited to get into this industry" because of the growth it is expected to experience over the next decade. MX Solar's new manufacturing facility is a 138,000 square-foot behemoth that recently produced its first commercial solar panel. Company executives hope to begin constructing residential panels in 2012.

You know Dennis, there are many "foreign" companies that employ thousands upon thousands of Americans, such as Toyota, Honda, and others, but I have never read anything from you applauding all the jobs they create. But this Italian company creates 200 jobs, and you get a tingle down your leg. What gives?
