Title: "Courthouse Deed Room Invaded"

For the past few weeks, one can hardly fit into the county court house deed room.  An army of out-of-state private tight lipped abstractors have been occupying the room with their laptops pouring through deed books.  The county recorder expressed awe at the amount of revenue the copying machines are experiencing.

Could these people hanging out at the deed room be investors looking
for properties to buy?

No, they are researching deeds not to purchase property.

The offered amount for a specific right is $1500 per acre today.

I was in the deed room today and "Frannie" told me 3/4 of the people working there were from Texas or Oklahoma City.  Also that more left last week for the holidays.
