Now that the state legislature and governor have passed a law banning local residency rules, what effect will this have on the City of Youngstown?
Mayor Jay Williams recently stated the City of Youngstown's position on the residency issue. He said, "I am confident that the vast majority of city employees respect the constitutionally protected will of the citizens whom we all serve. The City of Youngstown will honor the expressed will of its citizens through the continued enforcement of Youngstown's residence requirement on all city employees."
