As good as this Select Specialty Hospital project is for the city's tax base, it's saddening that the property on which they plan to build is already occupied by several buildings. Does anybody know the condition of the properties on these lots? Are they good looking and/or historic? The North Side has many old and beautiful homes that it would be a shame to lose. Perhaps the hospital would consider selling the homes (to the North Side Citizens Coalition maybe?), so they could be moved to other nearby lots. As good as new development is, it's always a shame to lose the old.
