Title: Public Interview of Youngstown School Superintendent candidate #2 of #5
Post by: Mary_Krupa on August 23, 2010, 09:36:35 PM
PLEASE!!!!! Please attend this next interview. It will be held Wednesday at 7pm at the Choffin Career Center. I just got back from the first one tonight. It was an excellent opportunity to find out about this candidate who currently is the Deputy Superintendent of the Parma School System which is the only urban public school district in the state to achieve excellence. They came up from academic watch which they were in 7 years ago.

Anyway, please make plans to go even if you feel you can't do another thing. This is very important for our community. I don't even have kids and I went. Please plan to attend.

this a grt oppt to have public input from the ytown residents for thier voices to be heard in this selection for the success of the ytown schools. the questions were heavy hitting that were not shy in asking about qualifications and experiences. if i had to make a decision last night on what i heard this person would have my vote.

Is there any chance that someone recorded the interview and placed it on YouTube?

This would be a great thing to do then many people can view from the convenience of home and then contact the school board if they have comments to make before the final selection which will occur after September 1st.

If you can judge a candidate from the one interview, I would pray to God that we choose the woman from Parma.  That's how impressed I was with her. Let's see how the other four do.

If anyone filmed this with a digital camcorder, I will gladly
put it up on my website.  I have more than enough disk space.
it could be converted to QuickTime format and streamed,
like the other video clips on the site.

The server does have an FTP login for the general public,
so that folks can upload to the server.

Tonight was the 3rd interview, the candidate from the Kent City Schools. He did very well, too as did the candidate from Philadelphia last week.

Let's hope the board does its homework and thoroughly checks all credentials and past job performance.

Tomorrow night, Tuesday, is the 4th candidate. The interview will be at the Board of Ed building at 7:30 pm. Please attend! The 5th and final candidate will be interviewed on Wednesday at 7:30pm at the Choffin school.

The academic commission is also interviewing each candidate.

my horse in the race is the one from palma, oh. she ahas a track record for turning around a school district. the philly canditate was too long winded with abstract solution. the kent rep sounded like a politician esp when he complimented the city and the cty leaders. i missed the campbell rep last nite dut to another meeting. i was totally surprised that the tuesday nite meeting was on time. oh well you snooze  you lose. :o
