The Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor was just given this 26 foot long sandstone sign that until yesterday had graced the front wall of the Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. Brier Hill Works office building.  As you can see it has suffered greatly.

We intend to incorporate this sign into an outdoor garden at the museum.  This is a good project for my "volunteer committee" to sink our teeth into.  I plan to pour a footer and then lay up a few courses of red brick upon which the sign will sit.  It will be placed in front of the building to the right of the main entrance in a location where a future garden will be planted.

Wonderful addition Rick.  Are all the pieces there?

We wondered where the pieces were going as we saw it disappear over the last week after we saw the tall work lift there.  We're happy that something good will come from the sign.
