As everyone knows, on the Eastern side if the Wick Building is an old sign "City Trust and Savings Bank" which originally was the Wick Bank. The City Trust and Savings Bank was closed by the State of Ohio on October 14, 1931, and was one of a handful of local banks that was closed during the Depression.
Isn't that the same name on the bank building on Wilson Ave. near Robinson Road?
Are you referring to the bank that was burnt to the ground during the steel strike riots?
The City Trust and Savings may well have had a branch office in Campbell. The Dollar Bank had several branch offices in the 1930's, one strangely enough at the corner of East Federal and Watt Street.
The letterhead I have doesn't give any indication.
No there is a bank building there now that houses a dry cleaner.
It would be nice to learn the history about some of the old buildings in Campbell, I bet they would have an interesting story to tell.
