Title: Big Night
Post by: Towntalk on April 29, 2010, 02:47:39 AM
As everyone knows, the Elton John Concert and the Sesame Street show at Powers will be the biggest event night in many a night, and I wish both events nothing short of a sellout, and hope that the eateries benefit from it big time.

Hopefully someone will think to take along a camera to photograph around downtown to share with those of us who can't make the events.

If you do, please be sure to include both venues as well as around the eateries so that we can get a real sense of how things went.

If all goes well, hopefully we'll see more major events like this in our future.

The newspaper listed all the restaurants open for the Big Night in downtown Youngstown on Saturday, May 1 but failed to mention Tomasino's Pizza.

Tomasino's Pizza will be open for your dining pleasure.

Lets hope that all the restaurants including Tomasino's Pizza have a big and profitable night.

We certainly hope that all the venues benefit and show that Youngstown can support more than one event even though the Elton John Show and Sesame Street will draw the largest crowds.

If this evening comes off without a hitch it will prove that downtown Youngstown is alive and well and will encourage more major events to be brought in. It will also give prospective businesses a reason to give our downtown a real hard second look.

Rain is in the forecast, so I hope that it doesn't throw a damper on things.
