City workers were stringing lights on the Christmas tree this afternoon.

When will the tree lighting ceremony take place?

This tree is beautiful at night.  The lights are unusual colors and very pretty.

I was at the tree lightening cermony and the event was a lovely one to attend. I was disappointed that art and rich and the mayor where there to attend the cermony. I hope JW will make it a point that all city reps are at all community functions unless they are laid out by candlelite. Why don't we as community minded people sponsor a nite of shopping and hipphoping in downtown during this xmas, kwanza, hanannka season?

One lets call it the Chistmas not X-MAS. By saying the X you are downing Christ. I truly beleive that as a true Catholic I am. Secondly what do you mean you were dissappointed to see them there? Then you say every city rep must be there when they were there?

3rd- Shopping? Where. Silvers? Plaza Optical. Sorry I am sticking to 224 for my CHRISTMas Shopping.

I'd like to see something downtown that is unique that represents all the holidays...something like a "Festivus" from Sienfeld....something that makes Youngstown grab some attention.  Maybe some "Feats of Strength" scheduled in the military monument area downtown?  BW3's supplies hot chochlate and buffalo strips with ranch sauce for all? I'm sure every air-breathing Christian would fight me to thier last drop of blood before that happens.  Oh well, here's  to the holiday season.  Happy Kawanzichanuachchristmas.
