with Harry Mays
Harry Mays, a 1958 Rayen High School graduate, was instrumental in preserving the building's mural depicting 141 years of school history. He is also co-compiler of "The Rayen School 1866-2007: A Retrospective." Mays will discuss the school's founder and benefactor, Judge William Rayen, as well as its teachers, culture of learning, sports stories, alumni, and historical trivia.Tuesday, May 11

Thanks for posting this event - I can't guarantee that I'll be able to attend,
as I'm in the middle of a job search but I haven't started a new job yet,
I'd certainly consider it.
For those on the forum who haven't visited the website, here's a direct link
to the photo shoot [very amatuer, but...] that I did of the mural on the
final walk through on "Alumni night" - after the last homecoming gave ever.

I was definitely feeling a little sad after the event, but at the same time grateful
for the opportunity to take the tour, and say goodbye.
Jay, if you or anyone you know with a camcorder can attend the event I would
sincerely appreciate a video of the presentation - and would love to put it up on
the website for everyone to see.
Video and audio media that pertain to Youngstown history are something that I
am always trying to get more of.
