The locomotive from Ellwood Engineered Castings will move to the Tod Engine Heritage Park tomorrow, December 15. I just got off the phone with Jim Michaels at WKBN, so you should hear a news blurb about it Tuesday. Might also have some other news coverage.
If you would like to see the movement of the locomotive, if all goes well we will be unloading it at the Tod Engine Heritage Park at 2261 Hubbard Road in the afternoon. Or you could call me at 330-272-4089 for an ETA.
What will you be using to move the locomotive?
That's one awfully heavy item to move !
:)
Good luck Rick, keep the tonnage moving !
How did the move go Rick, WKBN Radio did cover it on their 3:00 news. Can't wait to see if the TV stations cover it.
Check WFMJ and also "Three Minutes With" on the Business Journal website tomorrow. Here is video of the move:

Rick, "You the Man!"
You need to send the pictures to the IASM (International Association of Structural Movers), they may give you an award on this type of move, seriously.
It looks like the top part was taken off the wheelbase for the move, right?
Also, did you remove the diesel engine(s) prior to the move? Looks like the
compartment might have been empty...
It was dismantled into three truckloads. We pulled out the engines, and they are still out until next year. There is so much dirt and grime that I want to give the loco a good scrubbing before reinstalling the engines.
