Hi everyone,
The next meeting of the Mahoning and Shenango Valley Historian's Club is this Saturday 11/28 at 3:30pm at the Arms Museum Carriage House on Wick Ave. This club is very much in its infancy but is open to everyone in the area that is interested in local history. We have members interested in a wide range of local history topics. Why not come join us, you might learn a thing or two that you never knew!
iwasthere cannot make due to thanksgiving holiday. i would like to join this group at their next meeting. do they have regular monthly scheduled meetings?
Rick Rowlands could and did make it to the meeting. What an interesting and lively group. Kind of reminds me of the old Mahoning Valley Preservation Club.
rr knowing you i bet you shook the establishment up. ;D
FYI-
Next meeting will be Saturday, January 9 at 3:30pm at the Arms Museum Carriage House.
Actually I was quite quiet. I spent the first half of the day out in the cold working on a display track for our locomotive and entertaining visitors to the Heritage Park, and when I sat down inside that nice warm building I had trouble staying awake! I did volunteer to help the group obtain its 501 (c) 3 status when the time comes.
rr you are full of surprises. :o ;D
Not sure if this link will work and take you directly to the facebook page for the club or not. My wife was in charge of setting up the initial club profile after the meeting.
