Title: Problems At Mill Creek Park
Post by: jay on October 22, 2009, 06:14:15 AM
What's going on with the administration at Mill Creek Park?  The park seems to be involved in a lot of controversy lately.  The park director recently resigned and is going to receive a $111,000 severance package.

Also, Judge Belinky is attempting to expand the park board to five members.

In a recent newspaper article, the Mill Creek Park Board admitted they were under no obligation to pay the $111,000.

I remember reading somewhere, that Mayor Williams and city council had stripped
some of the powers of the Mill Creek governing body - whatever it is actually
called...

This being the case, do they even have the authority to pay such a severance
package without prior approval from City Hall ?

We now know that the two board members who were so generous with taxpayers' money were the appointees of Judge Belinky.

And your point is ----?

Didn't he call ALL three park board members into his office for a talk?  Is there not two more people added to the park board for a total of FIVE vs three?  Do you think he has control over the people he appoints to boards?
