Can Rayen Stadium rise again? Officials study $2.6M proposal

Is this a good use of money?
Considering we rebuilt Struthers Football Stadium for under 400 thousand dollars...
I would question the expense.....
The cost sounds reasonable to me. Frankly, I don't see the need for artificial turf. But, the other items also covered in that amount are:
- repair stands, and restore concrete
- create a 430 space parking lot
- build a new building to house locker rooms, public restrooms, and a concession stand
- new lights
I suspect most of the cost is in the new building and parking lot.
If they can find the funding, I say go for it. It sounds like it could be a nice asset for the community. YCSD could have more home games,(I guess - I don't really follow football) and neighboring districts could also use it. Sort of like Fawcett Stadium or Paul Brown Stadium in Canton and Massillon.
I seem to remember some type of renovation taking place at the Rayen Stadium area several years ago. What was the nature of that renovation?
As far as I am concerned, anything that comes out of Wendy Webb's head is not a good move.
I think the last repair/construction work done on the stadium was the tearing
down of a couple dilipdated buildings around the stadium, and the addition of the
new metal fence.
