Title: County Health Question (sort of)
Post by: jay on September 29, 2009, 03:15:04 PM
I heard a doctor from Mahoning County discussing health issues on a radio talk show this morning.  An interesting fact was revealed.

Question
Why do teens in the suburban and county school systems have less acne than teens in the city school system?

Oral contraceptives, also known as birth control pills, are often used for acne treatment in some women.

Although the doctor hinted that the moral behavior of urban and suburban teens are the same, the one side effect of the "acne treatment" is birth control.

Also stated was that suburban teens generally have more access to health care and are able to obtain the appropriate prescriptions.
