Post by: jay on September 29, 2024, 05:11:37 PM
Saw this on the internet today

Ohio has to start getting ready for the Florida immigrants. Hundreds of thousands without insurance have lost their homes. They'll be looking to move as far from hurricanes as possible. That means here.

Recently it was hurricane Helene.  Now hurricane Milton is about to hit Florida,   Millions will be affected and billions of dollars in damage will be reported.

Where will all these hurricane victims go?

Most people temporarily relocate to stay with their families or in hotels, then return to their homes after the threat has passed.

Immigrants can be good for the work force.  They tend to take jobs that other people don't want and they do them well.

I double checked immigrants on line and it seems that immigrants come from other countries.

They can be good for the work force as long as they don't overwhelm the places they go. I don't know the actual number of Haitians in Springfield Ohio but I've seen anywhere from 12,000 to 20,000 to fill in somewhere around 1500 to 2500 jobs, so there are quite a few that are NOT working.

Also when any population grows by 10% or more by adding one specific group, the characteristics of the whole area changes.
