From the Mill Creek Junior Baseball Facebook page

PARENTS, PLEASE READ!!  We are getting messages today asking if we are going to cancel games due to poor air quality.  Mill Creek Jr. Baseball League takes our players health and safety very serious.  We had a conversation with Erin Bishop the Youngstown Health Commissioner.  The air quality is very poor.  The Ohio Department of Health has not cancelled any outdoor events or sporting activities.  She warns all parents, especially who have children with asthma or any respiratory illnesses or infections, to use caution letting their child participate outside today for long periods of time. Although the games will still play, parents are being told to use their own judgement and common sense regarding the health of their child.  If your child is having trouble breathing or is wheezing due to the poor air quality, she would recommend them sit out of today's game.  All other parents should tell their  players that if they feel ill during the game or are having any respiratory issues during the game to tell their coach immediately.  The air quality index will be monitored all day and if anything changes, we will update our page.  Thank You!
