Title: Some Unexpected Guests to our Fine City
Post by: Rick Rowlands on August 14, 2009, 08:14:04 PM
Although the Tod Engine Heritage Park is not finished or open to the public yet, I've been averaging about one visitor per day who just stops by to see the big engine.  This evening two bikers from Newark, OH stopped by.  They were on their way back home from a trip up the eastern seaboard, and swung through Ytown to see the Tod.   Yesterday a visitor from Australia was here, the engine being one of his "must see" places to visit while in the States.  We have had visitors from Texas, Arizona, California, etc.  Many are expatriates who come back to the valley to visit relatives and want to see what we are doing on Hubbard Road.   I've met many fine people so far and look forward to telling the Youngstown steel story to those people yet to come.

Just wanted to share that.
