Yesterday I was driving west on New Road between Meridian Road and Raccoon Road. This section of New Road before Ax Factory Creek is one lane in each direction. A woman pushing a baby stroller was heading east walking as close as possible to the curb. At the same time a car was heading east just as I was about to pass the woman and child. Realizing this was a potentially dangerous situation, I came to a complete stop to let the woman pass by. This incident just proved to me that Austintown needs more sidewalks, at least one on each narrow busy street.
Kirk Road also needs to have a sidewalk. In the past I've often seen people walking east and west along the side of this busy road.
Sidewalks on those streets isn't a bad idea. It's actually pretty good.
