Title: That City Electric Aggregation Deal
Post by: jay on February 10, 2021, 06:52:10 PM
About a month ago, residents of the City of Youngstown received a letter in the mail stating that the city administration agreed to have an electric aggregation with the supplier Energy Harbor.  The deal calls for Youngstown residents to pay a rate of 4.98 cents per kWh.  This program started on February 1, 2021.

In the mail today, I received a letter from the Constellation Company offering to sell me electricity at the rate of 4.59 cents per kWh.

Was the city's administration taken?

Read the fine print.  I have not looked at the letter.

Sometimes the price is limited for a few months or you have to use a minimum amount of electricity to get the rate.

Also be aware of transfer fees if you opt out of Youngstown's plan, it may wipe out any savings.
