Title: Youngstown City Budget Is In Trouble
Post by: jay on June 23, 2020, 06:30:08 AM
The Coronavirus has caused Youngstown's income tax revenues to decline.  There may be a 4 million dollar shortfall by the end of the year.

That same thing happened to EVERY city that charges income tax, along with every state that does the same AND the federal government.

For some reason I wouldn't be surprised to see the % in most cities go up a slightly larger amount than the % in most states that also go up.

The increase in the federal income tax will depend on the outcome of the election. It could be OK, or it could be the end of our world as we know it.
