Title: Paying Marching Bands To Be In The Christmas Parade

I guess I never knew that the Youngstown Christmas Parade organizers paid marching bands to perform in the parade.  From what I've heard, each band receives $1,000 plus transportation expenses.

Perhaps this is why I recently saw a sign on a bulletin board asking people to form a marching band.  No experience was needed.
