John,
Try to conduct your business in downtown Youngstown on a Thursday next time.
John, you can spend as much money downtown as you want, whenever you want.
I understand what you're trying to accomplish with your Patronize Downtown Day, Jay, but I don't think the businesses mind getting paid a day early...
And maybe Mr. Swierz had a wardrobe emergency that couldn't wait until Thursday. ;D
Thursday Downtown Day is for Forum members and friends. Please patronize downtown Youngstown as often as you want on any day of the week. Shop on the other sides of town too. I hope to see JRS downtown on Thursday.
Rusty River AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My choice today was a delicious cup of broccoli cheese soup and a gyro sandwich from the Capitol Grill. I also enjoyed some fresh brewed iced tea from the Yogurt Corner.
I had a cup of Greek chicken soup and a southwest chicken sandwich at the Capitol Grill.
I had a chicken sandwich from Georgine's.
I love their chicken, (on a sandwich or with real mashed potatoes and gravy) roast beef, (again, on a sandwich or with mashed potatoes and gravy) and philly cheese hoagie. If any of these items are on the menu, (faxed to the office every morning) I have to go there. :)
I made a visit to a barber shop while downtown today.
