In 1943 during World War II, Los Angeles experienced a 10-day race riot during which white servicemen beat and stripped Mexican-American and African-American youths who wore zoot suits. Mr. Meahera Gerardo of YSU's history department will take us back to that time to recreate the events and examine the motives that led to them.
