Driving Miss Daisy
Set in Atlanta Georgia just prior to the civil rights movement, the play spans 25 years in the life of Daisy Werthan, a rich sharp-tongued Jewish widow. After Daisy demolishes yet another car, her son, Boolie, hires a thoughtful, unemployed black man, Hoke, as her chauffeur. At first Daisy regards him with disdain and he in turn is not impressed with his employer's patronizing tone. Eventually they overcome their differences and develop a deep and abiding friendship.- Performances -
