Title: Another Downpour Today
Post by: jay on June 27, 2019, 08:34:00 PM
I drove from the south side to the west side shortly after today's afternoon rain event.
Many streets were flooded.  Some west side storm sewers had water shooting out of them.
A low section of Glenwood Avenue actually had a whirlpool form over a storm sewer.

I suspect many of the storm sewers were plugged.

I'm in Austintown and my neighbor was cutting his grass in the sun when I got home yesterday afternoon. I didn't pay much attention and 1/2 hour later he was still cutting the grass in some slight rain as I walked to my car. 10 minutes later, when I got to where I was going, there was no rain at all. I met an older lady that said it was raining so hard she had to pull over because she couldn't see to drive. I asked here where that happened and she told me Canfield. Must have been right before the same rain got to where you saw it.
