Title: Credit Unions/Buying A New Automobile
Post by: jay on January 08, 2009, 06:21:00 AM
I saw an interesting story on channel 21 this morning.  GM has worked out a special deal with local credit unions to offer employee pricing on the purchase of a new car.  Members of the credit union already have established credit with their  CU and are in a better postion to receive a loan.

If you are a Youngstown resident, you are eligible to become a member of the Youngstown credit union.

This could help GM reduce their inventory by providing cheap prices to those
who can actually afford to buy a new car, but have been sitting on the fence
waiting for the best possible deal.

GM should offer employee pricing to EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE right about now...
they really, really need to get rid of all those new cars and clear out their storage
lots A.S.A.P.

The sooner they sell their excess inventory, the sooner they can start building
more cars - which means putting employees back to WORK.
