Title: Youngstown Fire Department?
Post by: jay on September 15, 2005, 02:56:36 PM
Some fire department equipment and personnel were at the Salvation Army Building on Mahoning Avenue today.  I assume this was a training exercise.

I saw them Saturday as well.

If they were smart they should get all the departments locally and act as this is a terror attack and light the whole thing on fire because its a major eye sore.

That be good training as well.

The Youngstown Fire Department is wrapping up a series of  high rise training drills using the old Salvation Army Building.

Having been inside the building photographing some of the trainings, there isn't much combustable material left. It's all brick, concrete and plaster. It is one solidly build building and they don't make them like that anymore.

I have a bunch of photos from previous days trainings in the YFD In Action gallery at http://www.youngstownfire.com.

Thanks for the picture!
