Title: Cost of Crude Drops - Good news?
Post by: Towntalk on October 17, 2008, 08:24:13 AM
Two major papers are running page 1 stories that predict that by the end of the year the cost of oil will drop to $50.00 a barrel:

Falling oil prices give consumers a break

Oil Prices Slip Below $70 a Barrel

Will this be felt by the people of the Mahoning Valley in lower gas prices? Who knows, but it bears watching because today its down to $70.00.

If the recent, drastic reduction in the price-per-barrel for crude oil does NOT bring the prices on
gasoline and diesel down, then there should be a nationwide protest that is just short of
a political holocaust brought down upon the powers that be in Washington.

There is no reason on God's green earth why gasoline has to cost what it costs - and I think
all the talk about supply and demand is a crock of SH*T !  The big oil companies posted
record profits this past year, so they can AFFORD to give us - the little people - some
relief when we need it the most.

Just my $0.02, plus the normal taxes per gallon added on, of course
