Are any Republicans running for city council in Youngstown?

I guess we will know the answer in the next few days when the filing deadline passes.

No Republicans are running for city council seats in Youngstown.

We are truly a one-party town.

It's not surprising.

It is somewhat sad that Youngstown became as bad as is was for 30 some years after the steel mills closed while pretty much under that same one-party.

I will admit that it seems to have been getting better for several years now but damn, it took way too long to even start.

Do away with party labels.  Youngstown needs nonpartisan elections.
