Due to the extremely cold temperatures, the Western Reserve Transit Authority will offer free rides on all fixed bus routes on Wednesday, January 30 and Thursday, January 31.
I can't figure out what they are trying to accomplish with this.
I'd be surprised if anyone would leave their house to get somewhere they don't absolutely need to go while it's this damn cold.
I'd also be surprised if a free ride on the bus would help keep anyone warm while walking to or from, or even waiting at a bus stop.
The story on TV stated that the free bus service was directed toward people who couldn't get their cars started because of the very low temperatures but still had to travel somewhere.
