Title: Downtown Flood of 2008
Post by: jay on July 22, 2008, 05:56:20 PM
A severe wind and rain storm hit the downtown area this afternoon at about 3:30 p.m.  Water flowed down the hill from Wick Avenue and flooded Central Square and the adjoining streets.

As cars passed, there were waves forming on the "shores" of Lake Federal Plaza.

Thanks for the pictures Jay.  I was at work during the storm and I did not know how bad it was until later. I stopped by Wick Park tonight and saw a lot of trees down. However, that will not stop me from going to the concert in the park tomorrow.
