Over 300 people came to downtown Youngstown last night to see the movie King Kong. The mood was festive. Candy and other refreshments were sold by Touch The Moon Candy Saloon. It seemed to me that everyone in attendance had a great evening.
I missed last week's premier but thought last night's feature was very entertaining. There's something to be said for sitting out under the stars in downtown Youngstown, relaxing with your friends, munching on popcorn, and being alternately amused, awed, and moved (I won't spoil the ending for those who haven't seen any of the versions) by Hollywood's latest Kong saga. I agree with you, Jay. Good job, Phil and crew! See you next week.
Great News!!!
Thanks for coming out, guys! It was a great night. The final official count was around 360 (tougher to count when it gets dark). Thanks to Jay for the photos and Guy from the Vindy for the promotion. See you 9pm next week for "Hitch" w/ Will Smith!

Feels good getting back on this site - was having problems the past few weeks. All of us involved with the movies thought this would grow with time but the turnouts have been amazing. Touch of the Moon Candy has been great too! Shows if you give a good and affordable product downtown (in this case free) people will show up.
See you next week for Hitch.
