Title: I am in Youngstown this week, taking photos
Post by: AllanY2525 on April 27, 2005, 07:52:00 PM
Hey everyone.

I have been having a great time visiting Youngstown so far.
I've taken some great photos of the Renner Mansion Interior, scenes from Mill Creek Park and several historic
homes on the North Side.

The Annex Website for YTownHistoricHomesBldgs group on
Yahoo has some of the latest photos.  The URL address is:

Please stop by and check out the new content, and take a
moment to sign the Guest Book, just to let me know you
were there.

Hopefully your site will spur some new interest in the North Side and get some more rehabilitation projects going there.

Those houses on Illinois...what a shame.

According to the Mahoning County Auditor's website (www.mahoningcountyauditor.org), 44 Illinois is owned by the NSCC.  Great news!  Hopefully they'll have it rehabilitated in the near future.

I use the Mahoning County Auditor's website quite a bit
in doing research on some of the old homes and buildings
that I use as subject material for the website.

FYI - an investor from New York has recently purchased
the home at No. 58 Illinois Avenue, and had electricians
working in the basement last week - putting in new wiring
and a new fuse box to get the electricity working in this
house again.

The contractors told me that the new owner plans to do
a complete restoration of the property.
