Many people don't realize it, but Ross Radio also played a very important part in Youngstown's history. The founders in the 1920's and up through World War II manufactured microphones that became world famous for their quality. Later the plant was moved to Sandusky, Ohio where it still manufactures these mikes, the most famous of which is the D-104, popular with Armature Radio Operators and CB'ers alike because of it's quality.

While the plant was in Youngstown, it was located on Market Street.
