A person was actually counting cigarette butts on the ground along West Federal Street on Thursday. The survey was to determine to what extent the cigarette butt collection containers were being used.
To find out how much they are being used the contents would need to be counted.
The current count only lets us know the extent they are NOT being used.
I wonder if that count was based on the number of butts per day, or maybe per week?
It would be nice to know the amount of butts per square feet, near but not in, the cigarette butt collection containers compared to the amount of butts per square feet not near the cigarette butt collection containers.
