Title: John R. Davis building
Post by: northside lurker on September 19, 2007, 05:44:46 PM
On the way home today, I saw that they have erected scaffolding in front of the Davis building.

I'm glad they were finally able to start work, and it will be exciting to see it progress.

This is really good news ... Does anyone know what will be going in there?

From this article:
http://www.vindy.com/content/local_regional/354149980897009.php

Quote[Sweet Jenny Land Co.] plans to headquarter Ronald C. Faniro Architect Inc. on the building's second floor, renovating the third floor into a living-working quarters for one architect. The first floor may serve as retail space, he said.

The scaffolding is all the way to the top.  They are probably going to start some type of facade work.

The workers appear to be washing the bricks on the front of the building.  It is good to see the original red color.
