Title: Why not here?
Post by: Towntalk on September 14, 2007, 06:52:49 PM
My little home town is in the process of building a Bio-Ethanol plant on the Borough's East End that will produce 180 Million Gallons a year. Clearfield is a College Town (Lock Haven University) just 40 miles North Of Penn State University with a population of about 9000 people who seem to have visions about their future that we lack here in Youngstown where the biggest issue is Crime and Trees for Downtown.

With a truely great University, you'd think that there would be someone in authority that was as visionary as te folks in Clearfield.

This will be the second Ethanol plant in Clearfield County.

Why not here? For one we have forgotten how to bring business into the town. I was gone from Youngstown for almost 30 years, serving in the military. I t hurt to see that there is not one school in operation that i attended, that the city was turning into farm land. Why not here? Because there are not enough people who care to make the difference. This small group is representative of the few. But do not get me wrong I have hope for the valley yet.
