Title: Volney Rogers School - Mostly Demolished
Post by: jay on September 12, 2007, 07:53:32 PM
This is a photo of the demolition of Volney Rogers School on S. Schenley in Youngstown.  About two thirds of the building has been removed.  The gym and the classrooms to the south are all that remains of the school.  The building was constructed in 1960.

Maybe they're there, and I just can't see them, but there should be workers with hoses keeping the work area wet to keep the dust down.

In this photo, half of the gym has been demolished.  Notice the bleachers on the west side of the gym.
