Title: Downtown Italian Fest Question
Post by: jay on July 31, 2007, 10:21:11 PM
The downtown Italian Festival is August 3-5.

Is there a charge to enter the festival area?

I see nothing about an admission fee on the flyer I have.

The poster that I saw did not mention anything about an admission fee.

It stated that the entertainment and parking were free.

I have a brochure for the Greater Youngstown Italian Fest.  The map on the back indicates that the event will be held from Phelps Street to Champion Street and from Commerce Street to Boardman Street.  Four "gates" are listed.

West Federal at Phelps
East Federal at Champion
Wick Avenue at Commerce
Market Street at Boardman

To me, a gate implys an admission fee or some other means of limiting access to the festival area.

Wouldn't an admission fee be listed on the brochure?

ADMISSION TO THE ITALIAN FEST WILL BE FREE. DONATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE GATES ACCORDING TO THE VINDICATOR.
