Title: Japanese Beetles
Post by: jay on July 05, 2007, 11:05:22 PM
How extensive is the Japanese Beetle problem in the Mahoning Valley this year?  Some people claim to have hundreds of them on their plants while others say they have seen very few.
How bad are the beetles in your neighborhood?

A friend of ours said that there were hundreds on one of their trees and many on their garden plants.
Why do we have so many this year?  Did you notice that they fly into you?

We have three beetle traps here in Coalburg.  One is getting full, other is half full and the third had the bottom ripped out by an animal.  It is keeping them off the berries though.  I would say the bettles are quite prolific this year.
