On the radio this morning , 7:15 a.m., Dan River is asking why area residents are not attending the arena football games at he Chevy Centre.
What is your opinion?
Listen to the show now. WKBN 570-AM
I've been to 2 games and the facility was about half full both times. Some things to consider:
1. The pricing is a bit steep. Need to have more kids coming to the games. Give them a discount (say $5.00) under the age of 12. Once you have the kids, the parents have to follow.
2. Better arena marketing. The music between plays is not that good, need more theatrics to juice up the crowd. Take a look at the Q during the playoffs. The arena marketers really got people psyched up during the game.
3. Creative sponsorship. Need to get people in the seats, no matter what it costs. The product and facility sells itself. You just need people in there to experience it. Once they have, you will have repeat business.
There is a current promotion for patrons of the public library.
