There will be a small ceremony honoring those involved in The Little Steel Strike of 1937, this coming Wednesday, May 30 at 10:00 a.m. This event will center around the reinstallation of the marker that formerly was installed downtown on the northwest corner of the plaza, when the plaza was only for pedestrians. Gary Steinback, from the local Steelworkers Union, will give a short presentation. Jay Williams, the councilpersons, and Cong. Tim Ryan have been invited to say a few words also.
The marker will be reinstalled in front of the steelworkers' sculpture, at the Ohio Historical Society's Youngstown Center of Industry and Labor, on Wood Street, across from St. Columba's.
