There are so many potential problems with GM and almost every other large manufacturer in the USA it ain't even funny.
And those problems have been in motion for about 50 years or so.
We may lose GM (and other) jobs because of tariffs. I'm pretty sure we lost a bunch of GM jobs long before tariffs, heck they've built probably 20 different GM models, including the Cruze in Mexico for who knows how long. Now we have people and politicians crying about GM going to build a new Blazer down there. Well I'm not too happy about that but what happened to Lordstown's van plant? From what I've heard GM tore it down because they were over taxed while it sat idle until it would be used for whatever came next.
Maybe rather than threaten us with higher prices GM shouldn't be importing to begin with.
