Copper Crooks Strike Youngstown
Copper crooks strike again.
Youngstown Police say they caught two men in the basement of a vacant house on South Schenley Avenue today. Neighbors spotted the break-in and phoned Youngstown Police. Officers on the scene believe the pair was stripping the home of its valuable copper piping.
The names of the suspects have not yet been released.

YOUNGSTOWN — Two men found in the basement of a vacant house at 44 S. Schenley Ave. were taken into custody just before 2 p.m. today. Their identities were not immediately available. Neighbors called police to report a break-in, said Patrolman Bob Eshenbaugh. The men had been stripping copper plumbing in the house that has a Realtor's lock box on it, he said.
