Title: The Vindicator Strike
Post by: Smokey362 on January 07, 2005, 01:16:29 AM
Hasn't this strike gone on long enough?  I see those poor people on picket duty every day.  You would think the Vindicator management would be more cooperative and work with them to settle it already.

I got a thought... Why doesn't those chumps on the picket line just realize the Vindy is standing up to a UNION! Yeah a union; and they aren't gonna win and/or get what they want!   I could care less about those people on the picket line.. THEY ARE HARD HEADED!

AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED BOTH THE PAPER AND THE STRIKERS CAN GO JUMP! WITH 6000 NEWSPAPERS TO CHOOSE FROM ON LINE, PLUS ALL THE MAJOR WIRE SERVICES, THE ONLY THING THAT THE VINDICATOR IS GOOD FOR IS TO LINE THE KITTY LITTER BOX, OR TO WRAP UP THE GARBAGE.

MY FEELINGS ALSO APPLY TO THE VALLEY VOICE ... THE STRIKE PAPER!

I SENT A TERRORIZING EMAIL TO THE VALLEY VOICE TO NEVER PUT A PAPER ON ANY NEWSPAPERS IN MY DEVELEOPMENT OR I AM CALLING THE POLICE!

IT WORKED!

I like the fact that the vindicator has a metropolitan look to it (it is spread out similar to the USA Today or other big city newspaper) But I think that it needs to focus more on local news and less on national news.

I read the Valley Voice and support the workers who are on strike.  There are more members of the working class living in Youngstown than members of management from any business.  A strong working class will make the city stronger too.

Let me clue you in on the FACTS OF LIFE AND TRADE UNIONISM.

I worked at The Vindicator for 22 years, and along with my entire department was laid off and an outside company brought in to do our work, and do you think that the "brothers and sisters" in the other departments cared?

I'm here to tell you that they couldn't have cared less.

These bums are whining and asking suckers like Dan to support them, but what they don't say is the fact that they would sell you down the river and not think twice about it.

When we needed their support, they told us to go to "XXXX", so to them I return the compliment.
