Post by: jay on March 30, 2007, 06:01:25 AM
The Book of Liz
by Amy and David Sedaris

Directed by Robert Dennick Joki

Featuring:
Brooke Slanina, Eric McCrea, Denise Glinatsis, Amato D'Apolito,
Beth Farrow, Jen Kuczek, and Fran Comstock

The play centers around the Squeamish colony of Cluster Haven and its inhabitants, Sister Elizabeth Donderstock, Reverend Joshua Tollhouse, Brother Brightbee, and Sister Butterworth.  When Liz tires of the thankless task of making cheeseballs to support her community, she decides to run away and try to make her way in the real world.  Along the way, she befriends a Ukranian immigrant with a cockney accent dressed as Mr. Peanut and her stylish husband, a pilgrim-themed restaurant full of recovering alcoholics, and a doctor open to alternative medicine.  Did I mention that Liz sweats?  Well, she does, a lot.  It's something of a problem.  Or maybe it's a hidden blessing.  You'll have to check out the play to find out!
