Title: Should The City Provide An Expensive Vehicle For The Mayor?
Post by: jay on February 19, 2018, 09:39:12 AM
Evidently the City of Youngstown, using Water Department Funds, will provide a 2018 Ford Explorer ($28,000+) for the mayor to use.

Why can't the mayor use a fuel efficient small car as most Water Department meter readers use.

What is your opinion?

In light of the reported tough economic times that lie ahead for Youngstown, it is completely irresponsible, not to mention a terrible example, for the new mayor to purchase a new vehicle as one of his very first actions in office. So many other more important things require action (snow removal equipment...etc.)

Also, did I not read that the Water Dept. fund is projected to have a $13 million deficit? Well, that deficit just rose to $13,028,000.00 !!

I think the only reason why Tito ran for mayor is to get a new car!!!!!  Hey Tito, instead of driving around town how about filling out your cabinet?????
