Look for the state ultimately get their hands on all 60 of the developers properties, kick the people and businesses in them out, and then just let them sit empty till vandals destroy them.

While his apartment buildings appear to be doing good, many of his office buildings are empty or less than 50% occupied.  The old PNC Bank Bldg @ Wick & Commerce is empty-he kicked out all of those tenants and several of those tenants went to Mr. Mills bldgs, Chase Bank bldg is almost empty,  First National Bank bldg is less than 50% occupied.  The Harshman Bldg(formerly East Ohio Gas) is empty, although he is currently trying to sell it.

So he is not the saviour that his supporters are trying to paint him. Thanks for the update joly1584. BTW, strange, back in the 1960's and 1970's our house number where we were living was 1584.

Why, exactly, did one have to know there was foul play going on?  Downtown redevelopment, like what has been happening in Youngstown, is happening in cities and towns all across the country.  In fact, Youngstown's redevelopment has come more slowly, and a bit more lackluster than a lot of places.  Maybe in the future, if all the money is used properly, maybe development will pick up.  But, I'm guessing there are too many people who still believe that Youngstown is somehow different from everywhere else, and that good things aren't supposed to happen here.
