Rust Belt Brewing is out of business, from my understanding. It says "CLOSED" when you search for it on Google, hasn't been open the last couple weekends I've been by, website isn't working, and the owner is being sued for $76,043.77 for failure to pay a mortgage.
So are there just too many craft breweries in the Mahoning Valley?

I don't think so. Paladin and Birdfish are both doing extremely well, and I'm looking forward to the one in Smokey Hollow opening soon. I think the problem with Rust Belt was they were extremely bad at business. Lost all their distribution, very inconsistent beers, and a lot of bad business moves. It's a shame because they started at a really good time and had the ability to grow into a larger brewery like some of the ones in Akron or elsewhere did.
